Statistically female founders who do get funded, tend to deliver a 3 times higher return to their investors to their male counterparts - but only 2.3% of venture capital globally is deployed to females founders.
Today we had the pleasure of speaking with Jacqui Bloom. Jacqui is the Growth and Investment Director at Startupbootcamp. She is particularly passionate about supporting women in business and bridging the funding gap for female entrepreneurs.

๐ Introducing Jacqui Bloom
Growing up, Jacqui watched her parents build their global retail and wholesale fabric business from the ground up. This instilled her drive and passion for business from a young age and ignited her inner entrepreneur! She became the managing director in her early 20s and continued the company's global growth.Jacqui is a natural communicator and relationship builder with a creative edge, strong commercial lens and entrepreneurial spirit spanning over 25+ years. She has helped establish and manage profitable businesses and loves the thrill of negotiation and strategic initiatives. Striving for success is a non-negotiable, as is continuous growth and development.Jacquiโs career turned completely after losing her brother-in-law and mother to cancer at particularly young ages. With their lives cut short, she decided to combine her love for people and business and begin her entrepreneurial endeavours.Like any entrepreneurial journey, it is a whirlwind that Jacqui has come to learn only too well. She now hones those learnings and skills and advises startups and ventures further into the foundation capital and investment space.Jacqui focuses her energy and expertise on purpose-driven ventures and is committed to helping and making a difference in the lives of others. She is particularly passionate about supporting women in business and bridging the funding gap for female entrepreneurs. She has mentored inmates in prison, volunteered on philanthropic committees, is an active member of numerous female enterprises, and is always up for a great challenge!
